Windmill Wonderland
Wind is air that is moving! We can tell it is a windy day by looking to see if people are flying kites, if the grass is moving, if the tree branches are moving, and by looking at pinwheels. An anemometer is a tool to use if you want to see how fast wind is moving. Today, we used paper and straws to make pinwheels. Pinwheels and anemometers are similar because they both move in the wind and we can use them to see how fast the wind is blowing. If the wind is strong the pinwheel moves ridiculously fast. If the wind is weak the pinwheel moves slow. We had fun making our pinwheels! We had an incredible windy, wind day.
